I have attended learning events specifically to enhance my knowledge of working with anger problems. This was part of my ongoing Continued Professional Development. I want to share some of my learning with you.

Anger is an arousal response to:

  • A perceived threat
  • An injustice
  • Hurt
  • Loss
  • Anxiety
  • Unmet ‘lower needs’
  • Bitterness
  • Frustration on goal blocks

Do you believe in the following? There are advantages of “staying angry” because:

  • It works
  • It feels good
  • It’s easy and familiar compared with the alternative
  • Everyone else who is important to me thinks the same way about being angry

If you think that you may have an anger issue and your near and dear ones perceive you as an angry person or someone with anger related issues – why not try and seek help?
Anger is a healthy emotion in a way and we need to express it when there is a need for it.

However, if you find that you use anger as your default pattern then help is at hand.
Why not learn other ways of being? Perhaps this could improve your relationship with your partner/children/friends/family and colleagues. Try it, I am here to help.
